My professional life revolves around digital transformation - at the intersection of user experience, space science, learning experience design, and digital literacy. I’m a lifelong learner who enjoys the company of books and turning the myriad of knowledge I gain into real-life solutions, transforming the niches I occupy into inspiring and lasting success stories.
I’m a staunch believer and an advocate for digital empowerment that is free of colonialism; to me, technology is a means for assisting people to achieve their dreams, not an end in itself. Therefore, people should have a voice in creating and adopting technological innovations that they often utilize. Through user experience, I ensure that digital tools are developed with primary users at the center, fostering digital self-determinism.
I assist organizations in digital positioning through website development, content development, social media management, and digital resource outlining and publishing.
I understand the role of science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics in the continent’s future sustainable development. As a result of this, in addition to my fascination with rockets at a young age, I co-founded Kibera Aeronautics and Space Academy (KASA) to catalyze curiosity and passion among children in Kibera slums in space science with the ultimate goal of becoming Africa’s first men and women on Mars, while at the same time applying the technologies of space science to solve Kibera’s numerous and multifaceted challenges ranging from housing, food, communication, electricity, to governance.
In addition, to gaining a wealth of experience and knowledge on space science, leading KASA unlocked an additional and critical layer on my love for humanity and concerns about its various existential threats. Listening and pondering on children’s perspective on our solar system and the human civilization completely how I view our home planet; the threats of climate change, the fragility of the pale blue dot, and urgency to explore alternative habitable planets in our galaxy, among others.
During my professional career that spans 8 years - including apprenticeship and journeymanship - I have worked with various organizations to undertake various projects. Find below the highlights of my professional career milestones.
