How I have deployed my skills and knowledge to improve humanity in the past.
Passionately driven by the need to propel human civilization forward, I have developed digital technology solutions over the course of my career. From tinkering with open-source software to create a "Netflix for Community Networks" and "Spotify for Community Networks" to assisting the development of a digital media toolbox for grassroots media organizations to designing dynamic and responsive websites. Below are some of the tools that I have developed or helped develop.

Throughout my career, I’ve been fortunate to work on projects that bridge digital transformation, learning experience design, and community empowerment. These initiatives have been deeply rewarding, not just in their impact but in the lessons they’ve taught me. Working with diverse groups—educators, policymakers, and grassroots communities—has reinforced my belief that technology should empower people, not just serve as an end in itself.
I led a research project that sought to strengthen community networks in Kenya through targeted research, development, and capacity-building.
I adapted ITU Academy’s ICT curriculum for Indigenous and rural communities in East Africa, tailoring it from its original Latin American.
I developed Global Innovation Valley’s ICT training curriculum to equip refugees and host communities in Kakuma and Kalobeyei with digital skills.

In 2021, I led a team of five editors for an open-source eLearning platform called Wikonnect. The project was funded by GIZ, and I was responsible for overseeing communication, content editing, research, and publication.
I’m a seasoned digital literacy facilitator who applies adult learning pedagogies and principles to enhance knowledge uptake. My instructional design background help me keep learners engaged and motivated.
I am a podcast host for Zack & Mel Talk Music, a biweekly podcast co-hosted by my friend Zack to discuss music and other topics of our liking – such as comedy, health, wealth, and epistemology.
Sometimes we invite our friends and local musicians.
I am also a podcast editor and producer. My portfolio boasts working to produce a 4-part podcast series for a women empowerment program that took place in January 2022.
